James Thomas Setchell (Great Grandfather)
James Thomas Setchell, who later changed his name to Harry Curtis, came to South Africa Starting out as a cattle breeder. He supplied horses during 1900 – 1902 Anglo Boer War. He became very wealthy as a result and owned practically the whole of Craig Park as well as the Craig Park Hotel. He married Franscica Sabatini who was a staunch Catholic. When she died she left all Harry’s wealth to the Catholic Church.
